This program is run for children in grades 3-6 starting in November.

Youth T-ball Program
This program is run for children ages 4-6 starting in May and running 6 weeks.  Games are played on Saturday mornings at the Kutztown Park multi-purpose field.

Coaches and Players Meeting and Team Pictures: Saturday April 29th @ the Kutztown Park Multi-Purpose Field Bleachers (By the Tennis Courts) Coaches Meeting 9:30am

Game Dates: May 5, 12, 19 and June 2, 9, 16. Game Times: 9:30am (No Games Memorial Day Weekend)

Annual Golf Tournament
This annual fund raiser is typically held the 3rd Saturday in May
Shotgun, Four Person Scramble

Photo Contest
Open to students from 6th to 12th Grades

Awards: All prizes will be gift cards to Dan’s Camera City located in Allentown. First prize is $100. Second prize is $50. Third prize is $25.

Deadline: Photographs are to be sent to the Optimist Photography Contest Chair by Saturday, May 30.

This program is run each Fall/Winter for children in grades 3 - 6 in the Kutztown Area School District. Separately run Boys and Girls Programs.

Oratorical Contest
Held annually each Spring involving Oratorical Themes based upon the Optimist Philosophy

2018 Oratorical Contest topic was: "Where are My Roots of Optimisim”

Contest to be held on Mid March 2019 at Kutztown Middle School Library

Deadline:  Contestants may show up the night of the contest to enter or mail applications to Rob DeVall @ 327 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530.

Top prize: 1st and 2nd Prize winners each receive $250 savings bonds with the 1st place winner going on to compete at the district level for a chance to win a college scholarship.

Essay Contest

Held annually each Spring involving Essay Themes based upon the Optimist Creed. 

2018 Essay Contest topic was: “Can Society Function Without Respect"

Due Date: February 2019

Top prize: $500 savings bond and essay sent to district level to compete for college scholarships
