Annual Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival fundraiser to benefit The Kutztown Optimist Club and local food banks
Held the Saturday before Easter in Kutztown Park. Fun hunts for all age groups from cradle to one foot in the grave.
Held May of each year at Rich Maiden Golf Course in Fleetwood, PA. This event is a great opportunity to kick of the golf season with good friends and is always enjoyed by all who attend.
Held by Kutztown Elementary School as a PTA fundraiser. The Kutztown Optimist Club lend their support by cooking hot dogs and hamburgers for this great fundraiser.
Held annually the week of Fourth of July, The Kutztown Optimist Club has maintained a food stand at this long running event celebrating the traditions of the Pennsylvania Dutch and their way of life. Our stand provides traditional fair food, but has become known for our breaded crab cakes. Stop out and try one.
Held annually the second week in August, the The Kutztown Optimist Club has maintained a food stand at this long running event highlights the agricultural history of the area, incorporating Livestock Exhibits and Farm & Craft Exhibits with carnival rides, stage shows and typical fair foods. In addition to the Food Stand the club operates the wildly popular Dime Toss. Hope to see you tossing some dimes and enjoying the food.
Held annually the last Wednesday before Halloween, The Kutztown Optimist Club in conjunction with the support of the merchants on Main Street shutdown the main thoroughfare of downtown Kutztown for the Youth of the local communities to Trick or Treat with the safety of their families and the community by visiting the local merchants on Main Street. The Club coordinates the event , obtaining all necessary permits and running a costume contest the night of the event.
Typically held three times each year on Saturdays in November, December and January, the shows are held at the Kutztown Social Quarters with hors d'oeuvres, beer, soda, chips and pretzels included in the cost of admission. The night includes 50/50 drawings and typically involves two opening acts in addition to the main comedian typically performing on the national and NY circuits.
This is a wildly popular holiday dinner held at the Kutztown Grange for the senior citizens of Kutztown featuring ever popular entertainment involving Christmas Carols and an occasional polka tune. The Kutztown Optimist Club is grateful to be able to provide this opportunity for these valuable members of our community.
The club sponsors the appearance of Santa Clause at the Kutztown Community Library providing the start of holiday season to the youth of the community.
In conjunction with Optimist International, The Kutztown Optimist Club host both Essay and Oratorical contests to Kutztown and Surrounding Area School District Students under 19 years of age. Winners of the Kutztown Optimist events are eligible to participate in District and National Contests for college scholarship funds.
